Split Rock Stoneware Cone 6 Clay. Medium texture plastic stoneware formulated for throwing and hand building. Vitreous at cone 10, this clay is suitable for oxidation or reduction firing. Virtually sulfur free. Tan color in oxidation and light/warmish brown in reduction. Fires from cone 6-10. Fires Between Cone 6-10, 2232-2345° F. Shrinkage rate is Cone 6 - 11%, Cone 10 - 12%. Best use is Throwing, Oxidation, Reduction. Color is Tan - Oxidation. Light brown - Reduction.
