Iron Range Stoneware Cone 6 Clay. An orange-red colored stoneware that can produce some amazing results with transparent and semi-transparent glazes. While the clay is textured, it feels very smooth while throwing or hand building. It has the blend of color, tooth, and workability you have been looking for. Fires Between Cone 6-10, 2232-2350° F. Shrinkage rate is Cone 05 - 7%, Cone 6 - 11.5%, Cone 10 - 13.3%. Best use is Throwing. Color is Very rich red at cone 6. Red/brown at cone 10.
